Alta Mons is the outdoor ministry of the Valley Ridge District of the United Methodist Church and encompasses over 850 acres of beautiful land in Shawsville, VA. Every year we have summer camp, which offers week, half-week, or day-long camping experiences for youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. Throughout the week our chaplain speaks to the campers about Christian topics like prayer, the church, and the love of Jesus. At night campers worship together around a campfire. Campers experience small group bonding with their units during arts and crafts, low ropes, field games, and sessions at the Nature Hut.  Each Wednesday all resident campers participate in Home in the Woods, where campers and staff set up campsites, cook their dinner over a fire, and sleep under the stars. Blacksburg Boxing and Fitness is a local family-run gym founded in 2015 by Kevin and Augusta Bowen (VT Class of 2011 & 2013!) The Blacksburg Boxing and Fitness family prides themselves on bringing the best out in each other through the world's ‘sweet-science’ of boxing and fitness! Join BBF for their 3rd annual Summer Camp! This camp is full of excitement and your child will get to learn the basics of boxing. 

Blacksburg Dance Theater's 2024 summer camps are for all ages. They offer outdoor play, creative dance classes, art projects and a final informal performance!

Camp Bethel has offered weekly summer camps and family adventures since 1927! Camp Bethel is the outdoor ministry of the Virlina District Church of the Brethren that exists to foster and build relationships with God, with each other, and with all of God's creation, TOGETHER.  We live this ministry through our summer camps, our services, and availability of our facilities to people of all denominations and backgrounds. In small groups of 10-12 campers and 2-4 counselors, campers play and learn together in an intentional Christian community.

CB Soccer Academy will be holding 2024 Summer Camps at Cupp Stadium. The CB Soccer Academy Youth Camp offers half and full day camps for a variety of age groups.

The Christiansburg Recreation Center opened its doors on Nov. 9, 1997, and remains one of the Town’s most-utilized facilities. The Christiansburg Recreation Center serves as a hub for community fitness programs, various educational classes and health screenings. The Rec Center features a gymnasium with four full basketball courts, a walking trail, a weight room, a cardio room and much more. We also offer youth programs and summer camps.

As Liberty Men’s Lacrosse continues its growth in national presence in the lacrosse community, the camp season is another way to promote and grow the sport both locally and across the country. Liberty’s program commits to excellence in developing athletes on and off the field to become successful leaders holistically. Under the direction of Liberty’s experienced coaching staff and All-Conference and All-American players, you can develop to your best level as a lacrosse player and athlete.

Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline Camping programs offer day camps, weekend overnight camps, and plenty of hiking, water fun, and archery experiences to grow their love of the great outdoors. At camp, girls explore the world around them, challenge themselves, and build their confidence, all while having fun with new and old friends.

The June Bug Center for Arts and Education (JBC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit dedicated to providing music, performing arts, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) through ongoing afterschool programs, classes, summer camps and community theatre productions that are affordable to the New River Valley community.

The Mayapple School offers creative outdoor summer camps in and around Blacksburg, VA. Camp offerings include Science Lab, Outdoor Engineers, How to Catch a Monster, Animal Adventures, Fairies and Gnomes, Dairy Camp at a working dairy farm, Yes! Paint!, Mess Makers Inc., Elements of Survival, and Story and Stage. Age range and half or full day camp scheduling varies by camp, with camps for preschool, lower elementary, and upper elementary available. While no two camps are alike, all Mayapple School camps are designed to foster connection to the land and a sense of belonging. Through farm experiences, adventuring and exploration, or creative projects, our nature-rich camps renew campers’ love and excitement for the outdoors. All camps are outdoor camps. Registration is open until all spaces are filled. 

Meadow Ridge Stables offers horseback riding lessons in English and Western. We have summer camp options available on our website. 

Radford University’s Women’s Basketball Head Coach, Mike McGuire hosts summer youth basketball camps at the Dedmon Center on the Radford University campus. Radford Basketball coaching staff and student-athletes assist in the program, providing an educational and fun experience for all ages and abilities.

The Olympic games are right around the corner, and when better to experience one of the most electric sports at the Olympics! New River Diving Clinics will be led by Olympic Runner-up Coach Rio Ramirez, Three time Olympic Trials Qualifier Ryan Hawkins, and 2024 Olympic Trials Competitor Noah Zawadzki. Clinics will allow athletes of all ages to learn the fundamentals of the sport in a fun and controlled environment. Each two week clinic will end with an activity related to the upcoming Olympic games!

Each summer, as part of our mission to serve as a community resource, North Cross School hosts a variety of summer programs for hundreds of children from across the Roanoke Valley and beyond.  

Pottery Camp is a great way to introduce your child to new and exciting art mediums! We will get muddy with clay hand-building projects, design some beautiful pottery and even fuse glass!

Summer at RU Baseball Camp gives your child a chance to learn the fundamentals of the game. Through drills, competitions, and games of course. They will gain plenty of experience and skills in just three days. From 9 AM - 12 PM each day. Your child will be able to be around college coaches, and learn how the game can be played the right way, while also enjoying their time at the baseball field.

Coming up on our 29th year, SEEDS engages kids in hands-on, play and place-based nature education. During summer camps, each week children ages 8-10 or 10-14 explore the wonders of our local natural world. Through photos, art projects, experiments, and even songs and acting out characters we interpret what we've been learning about.

The Peaks Retreat and Adventure Center is a 66-acre outdoor adventure and event facility located 30 minutes outside of Roanoke, Virginia. With scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Peak is an ideal location for events ranging from youth camps to student and corporate retreats to weddings. In 2024, we will be co-hosting an adventure camp for middle schoolers with Bedford Outdoor Adventures, June 3 - 7, 2024. 

The Tennis Camp at Virginia Tech is a step above the rest as top-flight coaches and instructors provide much more than just skills training.

Our goal is to provide our youth with fundamental kitchen and garden skills they'll need as they grow. In our cooking camps, your child will gain knowledge ranging from food and kitchen safety to the art of baking from scratch, as well as, helpful home economics skills. They'll also have the opportunity to bring their creations home with them! By combining hands-on learning with creative expression and outdoor exploration, Under the Green Umbrella Summer Camp offers an engaging experience that empowers campers to develop lifelong skills and a deeper appreciation for food, gardening, and home economics.

Virginia Tech Football is excited to announce the first Youth Camp & Women’s Clinic of the Brent Pry Era! These camps are organized by VT Football Staff, Coaches, and Players. The Youth Camp is for rising first graders - rising fifth graders from Tuesday, May 28 - Friday, May. While the Women's Clinic will be held on Friday, May 31.
