Weekly Update: A Note From Your Publisher 09.14.2023

Happy Thursday, welcome to this weekly edition of A Note From Your Publisher! Our family enjoyed our trip to Appomattox for the VA 4-H State Shooting Competition. All of the children did a wonderful job shooting archery, .22 rifle and trap. Thankfully we didn't get the rain that Blacksburg had over the weekend. WOW. You guys really got hit hard with the rain storm. September is World Suicide Prevention Month. All month, mental health advocates, prevention organizations, survivors, allies, and community members unite to promote suicide prevention awareness. My father lost his battle with mental illness in 2004. There is not a day that goes by that I don't wonder what if or think of him. Pain is only temporary but suicide is forever, please reach out for help by contacting a friend, family member or the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988.

Blacksburg Boxing & Fitness is requesting you to help raise funds for ALS by attending a live sparing event on Friday, September 15.
