For real. We hope you'll commit to spending at least a portion of your holiday budget shopping locally, and if you love the ease of online, know some of them now offer online shopping and delivery! Not only do we help them stay open, but we pump money into our local economy. For every $100 we spend in a locally owned store, $68 returned to our community. When we spend $100 in a national chain, only $43 stays here. When we shop online, nothing is returned (source: the 3/50 project). That major online retailer does not need our help, but our small businesses do.
