Happy Thursday, welcome to this weekly edition of A Note From Your Publisher! 2024 has arrived and possibly winter weather as well this weekend. My kids have recovered from the flu and luckily my husband and I managed to avoid it. My daughter celebrated her 13th birthday today at Christiansburg Aquatic Center. Have you been recently? We really loved the tubes they allow now in the pool. For only $6 per person, it is a great way to burn energy on a cold day.

Unfortunately, due to taking care of my sick children the events calendar has become bare! I will be adding events this weekend. I also think this is just a slow time of year in the New River Valley, everyone is winding down from Christmas and New Years while trying to get back into a routine. Some schools went back this week while a few will return next week (weather permitting).
