Happy Thursday! Sunday evening we noticed our freezer items were melting. My husband and I spent 4 hours yesterday with our children in tow, looking for a refrigerator because ours decided to kick the bucket. We love to shop at Ray's and buy all of our appliances from them. Unfortunately, with Covid appliances are hard to find in stores. We were offered the option to order one from a few stores but then we would need to wait a minimum of 8-10 days to receive it. Unfortunately, that was time we just didn't have with all of our food going bad. Thankfully, my mother-in-law had an older one that we can borrow until we decide what to buy. We built our home in 2009 and chose one of the freezer on the bottom refrigerators. Yesterday, we realized that we should have built the space for it almost 2 foot bigger. Holy smokes! Have you seen the new refrigerators? They have ones with door-in-door designs that you can put juice boxes, soda or snacks in a compartment inside the door to keep from opening the whole refrigerator. A few even had a family hub on them, where you could stream music or mirror your TV. My kids were thoroughly impressed, I just saw the dollar signs.

Sinkland Farms Sunflower Festival began yesterday and will continue through August 8, 2021. I cannot wait to attend with my family. The winner for the NRV Macaroni Kid - Sinkland Farms Sunflower family 4 pack drawing was Rebecca Amin. Congratulations Rebecca! Virginia Techniques has Playzone every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 - 3 PM. This is open to all children who can walk - age 10. My kids used to love attending when they were younger. They also have Friday Nite Hype every Friday from 7 - 9 PM. Don't forget to order memberships for your children from Hokie Kids' Club for the 2021-2022 academic year.
