The Cardboard Classic - a winter sled race competition you won't want to miss! Build your derby racer, out of cardboard and duct tape only, and pilot it down the slopes during one of the most fun days on the mountain!

Day 2:
Return of the POND SKIM! Let's Go0o! What was once a thing of the past here at Winterplace is coming back better than ever! The pond skim will take place at the bottom of Cascade. This competition, or rite of passage as some would describe it, requires contestants to ski or snowboard into a frigid pool/pond with the goal of skimming across the water to the other side. Grab a drink at The Snowdrift Lounge, dance to the music and enjoy the show, OR put on your best costume and try your luck. SINK OR SWIM!!

Winterplace Ski Resort is the perfect place for beginners to learn to ski and more advanced skiers and riders to improve their technique or just spend some time having fun. Our runs have 100% snowmaking, so even if mother nature can't get it to snow, we can. With a vertical drop of over 600 feet, 90+ acres and the longest run of a mile and a quarter.
Winterplace offers ski school and lessons for all ages. For the non-skiers in the group, we have a snow tubing park - no special equipment needed.
