ZOOMDescription
Circle of Parents® is a parent-led and professionally facilitated parent support group program that gives parents the opportunity to share in each other’s challenges and successes while developing a network of support. Participants learn how to advocate for their children and how to parent in a positive way. Circle of Parents® groups meet weekly, are free of charge, and foster an open exchange of ideas, support, information and resources.
The Circle of Parents® model includes a structured children’s program which emphasizes the importance of working with the family as a “whole” and reinforcing family support principles. Children’s programs provide a safe and supportive environment for children while their parents are participating in their group meetings. Children are given the opportunity to develop self-esteem, social skills, learn safe and healthy ways to handle feelings, as well as problem-solving and conflict resolution techniques. Children’s groups also help children and parents establish trust and positive interactions with each other.
Circle of Parents® is for parents/caregivers of children of any age (birth - 18), is taking place via Zoom, and is free of charge!
