Description

’Season of Light’ describes the legends associated with the stars that appear during the Christmas season such as Orion the Hunter, Taurus the Bull, and Leo the Lion.

Narrated by Noah Adams of NPR’s “All Things Considered" and appropriate for all ages, the show talks about all things celestial and winter traditional including the Star of Bethlehem, Jolly Old Saint Nick, holiday lights and candles, exploring traditions of gift-giving and solstice festivals. All shows are free, and everyone is welcome to join us! We do suggest that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the start of a show.

We are continually working on our holiday show schedule, and we know most of the dates now for our holiday show "Season of Light." These will be on Tuesday Nov.28, Thursday Nov. 30, and Friday Dec. 1 at 7:30pm (later start due to Christmas Parade in Radford); Saturday, Dec. 2 at 10:30am; Sunday, Dec. 3 at 5:00pm; Wednesday Dec. 6 at 7pm; and Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6pm and 7pm. This show is all about the stars and constellations and legends of the season, including St. Nicholas and the tradition of gift-giving. All shows are free and everyone is welcome.
