Description
Using a combination of lecture and discussion, these two one-hour programs, Healthy Conversations (5:00-6:00 PM) and Step Up! Bystander Intervention (6:00-7:00 PM), will help teens learn to set and respect boundaries and help their friends. If you aren't able to make it for our first hour, don't worry you can still join us for the second hour.
Healthy Conversations (5:00-6:00 PM):
Examine what it means to set an emotional, social, physical, or digital boundary, unpack why it’s important to respect other people’s boundaries (even if they differ from our own), and explore how we can speak up for ourselves or our friends when someone is making us feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
This program is intended for ages 14 and up.
Step UP! Bystander Intervention (6:00-7:00 PM):
How can we help when we witness something bad happening? Using a combination of lecture and discussion, this one-hour program encourages participants to be active bystanders and provides options to step in when problematic situations arise.
