Operated by SEEDS at the Town of Blacksburg's historic Price House and gardens, the SEEDS - Blacksburg Nature Center inspires a natural curiosity and love for the environment in children and the young at heart through discovery learning, nature education, teacher support, and civic awareness. Our Exhibits
We feature a wide range of exhibits, including: live reptiles and fish, taxidermy specimens, a nature - themed library, a seasonal observation honeybee hive, chocolate and our global connections, as well as a host of age - appropriate games and puzzles.
2024 marks SEEDS’ 29th year sustaining nature education and 29 years of studying and teaching about our Freshwater heritage. Let your kids explore our Augmented Reality Sandbox, our 3D topographic model of our surrounding watersheds, or let’s go learn about the Freshwater Heritage of Blacksburg!
SEEDS is located at Blacksburg's historic Price House, 107 Wharton St. SE. Parking in our driveway, on Wharton St., and within 2 short blocks on Clay St. @ spout spring parking strip. Admission is free. $1 donation per guest suggested. Visit at any point during open hours…fun for all ages.
