Radford is surrounded on three sides by the New River. You can fish on the New River, you can kayak on the New River, you can tube on the New River...and now you can see rubber ducks race down the New River!! 'Adopt' a duck for $5...cheer for him to race down the New and the first one to cross the finish line wins.....$1,000! That's right, five bucks can turn into $1000! The race takes place along Radford's premier waterfront park, Bisset Park. Also that day, the New River Valley Classic Cruisers host a 'Cruise-In' car show with classic cars, trucks and more! There will be music, children's activities, food and fun for the entire family!
Car show runs from 3-7 PM and the duck race will be at 6 PM.
