The Teen Connections program through Planned Parenthood is a FREE multi-day series for middle and high school age youth to learn age-appropriate information about puberty, relationships, consent, pregnancy and STI prevention, and more while gaining leadership skills to advocate for community health.
Teen Connections empowers youth with the facts when it comes to teenage pregnancy prevention and STI transmission, as well as builds important life & leadership skills such as communicating boundaries and how to have healthy relationships. Programs are offered separately for middle and high school age students. Students graduate from the program as Peer Educators and are invited to continue participating as Teen Connections Alumni, meeting during the course of the year for monthly meetings, volunteer events, and other activities in the local community.
Teens graduate from the program as Youth Peer Health Educators, earn a $100 stipend, and are invited to continue participating as leaders in the Teen Connections Alumni group. Programs are held in-person at the local libraries and virtually. See registration link for more information.

Business Review
When I first did the Teen Connections program, I was in high school and had acquired no comprehensive sex education up until that point. I created a bond with the other students learning alongside me and was able to gain knowledge to share with my peers outside of the class. I continued my involvement with the TC family and coordinators until I graduated, but the bonds I created and the information I attained will last forever!
