Now in our 31st year, SEEDS engages kids in hands-on, play and place-based nature education. During summer camps, every week kids in age groups 8 - 10 or 10 - 14 explore the wonders of our local natural world. Our field camps take kids on daily field trips with fun-filled science exploration, art projects, experiments, music, and play to interpret what we've been learning about.

Stay tuned on our website, our FB, and Instagram for wonderful big news about SEEDS-Blacksburg Nature Center. You might have heard that we’re planning a big move!

  • Mail To: SEEDS, PO Box 824, Blacksburg, VA 24063.

Business Review

"Truly a hidden treasure in DT Blacksburg. Kids of all ages can enjoy nature year round, and learn more about it as they play, from Dr. Mike and from student volunteers. What a wonderful point of cooperation between the SEEDS organization, Blacksburg Parks and Recreation, and VT Biological Sciences & Outreach. The children of the NRV are the lucky beneficiaries of this team's work."  -Elisabeth
