Looking for a fall outing that’s equal parts fun and educational? Sinkland Farms has just the experience you’re looking for — whether you’re a teacher planning your next field trip, a moms’ group looking for a fresh adventure, or an organization searching for a memorable group activity.

As an Agriculture Center for Educational and Experiential Development (Sinkland CEED), a 501(c)(3) organization, Sinkland Farms is passionate about connecting people with the land. Each year, they welcome more than 8,000 children from over 100 schools for hands-on, immersive learning. Their programs aren’t just for students — they’re a unique way to bring people together while inspiring a deeper appreciation for agriculture.

Two Engaging Fall Experiences

Sinkland Farms offers two experiential education packages, perfect for Pre–2nd Grade groups — but equally fun for special needs groups of all ages, preschoolers, and even adult community groups looking for a lighthearted fall adventure.

1. Fall Harvest Experience

  • 5 interactive learning stations: Pumpkin Life Cycle Story, Corn Maze, Barnyard Animal Fun, The Story of Farming, and Bee Learning.
  • Every child picks a small pumpkin to take home after a hayride to the pumpkin patch.
  • Teachers receive a large pumpkin for classroom learning.

2. Harvest Play Experience

  • 2 engaging stations: Pumpkin Life Cycle Story and Barnyard Animal Fun.
  • Extra time to enjoy the Farm Playground.
  • Includes the hayride and pumpkin picking.

Both experiences last 1.5–2 hours and cost just $10 per child. Groups can also bring snacks or lunch to enjoy for an additional 20–30 minutes on the farm.

When to Visit

  • Field trips and group visits are offered Tuesdays–Fridays in October from 9:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • Special needs groups and preschools are especially welcome on Tuesdays.

Perfect for More Than Just Schools

While these experiences were designed with school groups in mind, they’re also a fantastic fit for moms’ groups, homeschool co-ops, scout troops, church groups, and other organizations looking for a seasonal day out. Imagine your group laughing through the corn maze, learning together in the pumpkin patch, and enjoying a relaxed lunch in the fresh fall air.

At Sinkland Farms, the goal is simple: to create moments that inspire, educate, and bring people together. Whether you’re a teacher, parent, or group leader, this is one fall tradition worth adding to your calendar.
