The City of Radford and Radford University are happy to announce the inaugural Radford Community Fest, set to take place on August 24, 2024. This exciting event will be held on East Main Street in Radford, spanning from Third Avenue to Tyler Avenue, from 11 AM to 7 PM.
The Radford Community Fest 2024 promises a day filled with a wide array of activities and attractions. Attendees can look forward to numerous vendors, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and street performers. The university’s Fraternity and Sorority Life office will be hosting a Kid’s Zone, which will include arts and crafts, bounce houses, and games, ensuring fun for the whole family. Best of all, there is no admission fee, making this a free event for all citizens, students, employees, family members, and visitors.

“The new Community Fest being launched this year is a wonderful way to help welcome our new student residents to Radford and to showcase our downtown district allowing them to get to know what if there and for the businesses to get to meet them,” said Radford Mayor David Horton. “This is an outstanding partnership between the City and the university for the benefit of all.”
Vendor spots are available for a fee of $50 for a 10x10 space, with a total of 70 spots offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Vendors are responsible for bringing their own tents, tables, and chairs. Designated vendor parking will be provided. Additionally, there is a discount code available for businesses within the City of Radford and on the university campus. Email studentlife@radford.edu to inquire about the discount code.
