Join us for the Christiansburg FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier, on Saturday, December 2 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. A thrilling robotics competition that brings together talented students from across the region! Get ready for a day of innovation, excitement, and teamwork as teams showcase their engineering prowess.

In FIRST Tech Challenge, students develop STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills and practice engineering principals while realizing the value of innovation. Teams are challenged to design, build and program robots in a thrilling head-to-head competition. 

Watch as teams of young technologists put their robots to the test, completing challenging tasks and solving complex problems. Cheer on your favorite teams as they compete for a chance to advance to the next level of the competition. It's an event you won't want to miss!

Whether you're a student, parent, or simply an enthusiast of robotics, come and experience the excitement firsthand. Witness the future of technology unfold before your eyes at the Christiansburg FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier!

There will be a concession stand from the Christiansburg Middle School PTA. This competition is sponsored by the Science Museum of Western Virginia.  

This year's first LEGO League Explore challenge is MASTERPIECE. Children will explore how people share their hobbies and interests in creative and captivating ways. Learn about different places where people share their talents or go to enjoy a show. They'll learn how to share their own interests and build a place of their own. This Expo Festival will be from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. Visit and see this showcase of the youngest level of FIRST robotics! See their Lego creations and their WeDo robots perform to meet this STEAM challenge! Stop by to see the FIRST Tech Challenge (ages 12-18) Qualifier and sponsor exhibits beforehand.
