The Blacksburg Summer Arts Festival has become a cherished tradition by the community since its conception in 1991. Each summer, Virginia Tech’s School of Performing Arts and the town of Blacksburg partner together to bring a host of free, family friendly indoor concerts, outdoor concerts, children’s events, and more. The remaining lineup can be found on our website.
This Saturday, July 22, local theatre artist, Joelle Shenk, will join us for two special children’s activities:
Storytime with Joelle: 11:00 AM
Children of all ages are invited to join Joelle for a time of stories, songs, and silly fun!
Improv Workshop: 2:00 PM
Join Joelle for a fun improvisational workshop suitable for ages 10-15.
Both events will be held in the Rehearsal Room in Virginia Tech’s Creativity and Innovation District (185 Kent Street). For more information, please contact Ariana Wyatt at ariana1@vt.edu.
We hope that you will join us for this beloved tradition! All events of the Virginia Tech/Town of Blacksburg Summer Arts Festival are FREE and open to all members of the public.
