As part of the celebration of our 10th Anniversary this year, Friends of Peak Creek is hosting Peak Creek Family Fun Day on Saturday, July 15 at Heritage Park in Pulaski. We want to give back to the community that has supported us for the past decade. This one-day festival has 15 local organizations offering 18 educational and fun environmental activities free of charge to the whole family. Help catch and identify “good” bugs in the creek, learn to cast a fly rod, meet a rescued wild animal, pet a ball python named Henry, build a bluebird box, and listen to a band. Then you can magnet fish, go on a scavenger hunt, create a nature bookmark, play animal hopscotch, and get a hug from a Pulaski River Turtle Baseball Team mascot. Rain or shine the day starts at 10 AM and ends at 4 PM. We suggest that you bring a chair to listen to the band and you must wear some type of footwear if you want to do a creek activity.
