Happy Thursday! We hope you are having a great week. It is hard to believe January is almost over. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it in the past but I have a Cavernoma in my brain. This is a malformation of blood vessels and looks like a raspberry. I was likely born with it and some people never have symptoms or know they have it at all. Cavernomas can cause seizures, stroke symptoms, hemorrhages, headaches and more. In 2021 I experienced a headache for 3 months solid, during that time we found out the Cavernoma was bleeding. Since that time we have just kept an eye on it with yearly MRIs. Unfortunately, it isn't in a great place for operation and unless I start having major problems, we will more than likely leave it there. At the end of December I started feeling really ill and dizzy. I have pretty much been that way since which required a new MRI and a trip to Roanoke Memorial Emergency Room. On top of not feeling well, my husband has needed to travel most of the month of January for work. So it has been quite interesting around my house. Thank God for teenagers who are old enough to help care for themselves and a pup who has not left my side. I see my Neurosurgeon on Monday. I'm so thankful for him and his staff. Dr. Marvin is a compassionate, incredible Dr. I appreciate our readers being patient with us getting the Summer Camps & Program Guide out this year. I had hoped to have it out two weeks ago, but will work on having it ready by the next newsletter.
