Wonder Universe, A Children's Museum is excited to host the first annual "wondeRUNiverse" 5K and Family Fun Run on Saturday, October 15th. This all-ages, stroller-friendly event will be hosted on the Huckleberry Trail, beginning at the trailhead behind the Uptown Christiansburg mall between Wonder Universe's location and Kohls.
"This event is an exciting way for families and runners of all ages to engage in our mission as a museum to educate, amuse, and inspire, while participating in a 5K or family-fun run on the beautiful Huckleberry Trail. We are excited to see the community come together in support of our regional children's museum and protecting a space for playful learning for all children in our community" said Shelby Koninckx, the museum's Executive Director.
Any family hoping to register should visit wonderuniverse.org/run and click the "I'm in! Register Now" button to complete their online registration. 5K registrations include a T-shirt in the registration cost. Family fun run participants will be able to purchase youth and adult T-shirts on the day of the race. Any questions about the event can be directed to hello@wonderuniverse.org.
