Meadow Ridge Stables is a locally owned and operated facility that offers equine services in an environment that is safe, welcoming, and fun. We offer quality field and stall board for horses. Our knowledgeable and professional staff provide a high standard of horse care so that our clientele feel confident and secure in the care of their horses.
We offer riding lesson instruction to riders of all levels and abilities in small groups and private lessons using well trained, safe horses that are available for students who do not have their own mounts. The same lesson options are also available for students who board their horses with us or who trailer in for lessons. Our instructors are friendly, experienced, creative and focused on the safety of our students; they use a variety of teaching techniques to help students progress to their full potential. We are proud to be a part of the strong community of horse enthusiasts in the New River Valley.
A publisher's note- My daughter began attending Meadow Ridge Stables lessons early in 2021. She had previous riding experience but was suffering through anxiety due to a medical issue. I first spoke with Corrine McCoy (part-owner) about Bailey wanting to ride but having extreme anxiety. Bailey has always loved horses and wanted to ride but didn't want to trot, canter or jump anymore. Lesson after lesson she walked around the arena. She played games and left the arena to walk in the field. But then something happened, I saw her blossom and her smile got bigger. She started trotting and going over ground poles again. I highly recommend Meadow Ridge Stables for all ages and abilities. They are very knowledgeable about horses and instruction. The facilities are kept in great condition and the animals are well cared for.
