Teachers and Parents can learn how easy it is to start and/or coach a FIRST Robotics team to engage more youth in STEM, problem-solving, teamwork, communication of ideas and a path of creative discovery. No level of education or engineering/scientific knowledge is required. This is a chance to offer FUN for adults and youth of your public, private or homeschool or just a group of friends.
This FREE workshop will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 1 - 3 PM for parents and from 4 - 6 PM for teachers. It will be held at 2270 Kraft Drive, Blacksburg, VA. Offering hands-on experience with FIRST Lego League and FIRST Tech Challenge. As well as a support system of experienced volunteers and coaches within the New River Robotics Association. There are opportunities for funding through grants of various resources to help equip a new team and give youth a chance to compete in the sport of the mind and be prepared for the future.
