When we hear the words "Snow is Coming" most of us think of preparing our home for power outages, getting snow shovels ready, and purchasing sleds. How many of us actually think about preparing our vehicles? The I-95 incident last year caused quite an uproar. If you were in this type of situation, would you be prepared?

- Blankets
- Cell Charger (it is handy to keep your cell charged as much as you can in the winter)
- Clothes (boots, coats, gloves, hats) this should be for everyone in the family
- Flares
- Flashlight(s) (and keep charged or new batteries in them)
- Food (breakfast bars, crackers, and protein bars, are filling & take up little space)
- Gas (always keep your tank close to full in the winter)
- Ice Scraper
- Insurance Information
- Jumper Cables
- Shovel (folding ones take up less space)
- Water (2-3 bottles for each family member)

When in a dangerous situation, the best place to remain is in your vehicle. If you cannot do so, quickly get to an area where you will not get hit if someone else wrecks or slides off the road.
