Recently recognized as one of the best places to work in Montgomery County by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Wine and Design used the pandemic to shift business models and keep employees engaged in creative ways.
This is quite a feather in a small business's cap. The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce hires a third-party consultant to manage the extensive data collection and analysis process.
Companies must have at least five employees respond to a survey, and company leaders fill out a similar survey to be eligible for the award. Then, analysts examine any gaps between the employee and leaders' responses. The top 25 companies that have the closest alignment between leaders and employees are recognized.
Wine and Design ranked high in the top 25 list and received the award for the best company in the arts category for 2021.
It's not surprising Wine and Design performed so well. The painting and craft studio pivoted beautifully during the pandemic, incorporating virtual paint night opportunities and exploring creative ideas to keep customers and employees engaged, entertained, and painting through the COVID-19 lockdown.
