Happy Thursday, I hope you all are having a great week. My basement is bursting at the seams with Halloween toys, candy and baskets for our Boo Baskets. My kids and I are excited to put the baskets together and sneak around the NRV delivering them.
Have you ever felt you were lacking purpose in life. You do the same thing day in and day out and nothing changes. As a stay at home/homeschool mom I felt mine was to take care of the little people and repeat the same household things over and over. However, I needed something that belonged to me! I have found that purpose with NRV Macaroni Kid and have enjoyed being the publisher for the last 3.5 months. Thank you all for making the transition so easy.
On October 2, 2021 Izaak Walton League will host the Tony Huddleston Trout Rodeo. This event is for children ages 4-15 to catch fish and win awards/prizes. So far, Christiansburg Parks and Recreation only has 11 children signed up to participate. The first 100 children signed up will receive a free shirt at the event. My children have attended in the past and some of the fish caught are huge. It is fun for the whole family. If you are interested in attending please see the flyer by clicking above.

Speaking of Paint 'n Fun Ceramics, has everyone seen our Facebook post fromTuesday? Tomorrow evening, NRV Macaroni Kid will choose One (1) winner to attend a Pottery Throwing Class, this prize is a $55 value. I was able to tour Paint 'n Fun on Tuesday and I cannot wait to attend a class there.
Sinkland Farms will host their 30th annual Pumpkin Festival beginning on September 24th and ending on October 31st. You can purchase tickets online or at the festival.

We have added some events to our Fall Events and Activities Guide for our local families. Hopefully the next few weeks we will get in quite a few Halloween events for next month.
