Around the Valley 8.26.21

By Shannon O'Donnell August 26, 2021

Happy Thursday!

I am currently sitting at Meadow Ridge Horse Stables watching my daughter tack up her horse. We had been coming mid afternoon and it was hot with no breeze. Last week we started coming later in the day. Tonight it is a beautiful evening with a breeze blowing and the sun slowly going down. My daughter has ridden horses for 3 years now. She fell off a couple of years ago and bruised her pride. While she got back on that evening she had major anxiety after and took some time off. I have enjoyed watching her gain her confidence again. I think we all have instances where we get our pride bruised by something in life and need to overcome it. Kids seem to bounce back a lot easier than us adults do. If you are ever looking for riding lessons for an adult or child, I highly recommend Meadow Ridge and their trainers.

Our 150 Boo Baskets will go quickly so be sure you know how to sign up. We are still searching for a couple of Sponsors for our Boo Baskets if your business is interested in being a sponsor for the 2021 Boo Baskets click here for additional details. NRV Macaroni Kid is working on several new local guides. If you have something you would like us to add to our Guides page, please send us an email so we can work on it mackidnewrivervalley@macaronikid.com

We are always looking for guest authors. If you have something that interests you, please let us know.
