Tea & Jam Cafe implements contactless ordering

By Olivia Hoye November 30, 2020

Tea & Jam is located on North Main Street in Blacksburg. The cafe promotes balanced, healthy living and strives for a friendly atmosphere where balance and positivity rule and music is the pulse of the cafe.

Tea & Jam Cafe located on North Main Street has implemented a contactless ordering system in response to COVID-19 guidelines.

The ordering system gives customers the ability to browse the menu, order and pay directly from their table. Each table has a QR code that customers can scan on any smartphone camera, sending them directly to the ordering website.

Takeout orders are also available through the Toast Takeout & Delivery App (iOS and Android) as well as at Toasttab.com/TeaJam.

Tea & Jam has taken other precautions in response to COVID-19 such as expanding outdoor seating availability and distanced seating within the cafe.

Despite the pandemic, the cafe continues to serve the community through events such as Intuitive Drawing Sessions with Wytheville artist Jen Otey, events with InSpire Mindfulness and In Search for Meaning, as well as outdoor events in collaboration with InBalance Yoga Studio and other local businesses. All of these events follow COVID guidelines.

The menu selection has something for everyone, from delicious smoothies and juices to savory buddha bowls and avocado toast. Each menu item is made in house, curated by the Tea & Jam staff with nourishment and enjoyment in mind.

Much of the tea is sourced ethically from small distributors who only source from independent growers and family farms. Tea & Jam is dedicated to quality, ethics and transparency. The tea menu ranges from black, white, green, oolong, and Pu’erh teas served traditionally and some as a latte made with plant-based milk.

Tea & Jam is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Follow @teajamcafe on Instagram and like Tea and Jam Cafe on Facebook for updates to the menu and upcoming events. To learn more about them, visit their website at https://www.teajam.cafe/
