In 2013 Sheila McCraith was caught screaming at her 4 kids by a handy man, and she began a journey to stop yelling for 365 days. McCraith's goal to developed into a system, the nickname "Orange Rhino Mom", a blog, and now a book, and I was sent a copy to review.
Yell Less, Love More is part memoir, part 30 Day Guide to stop yelling. McCraith writes like she talks with "ums", slang and all, and at times this was a bit awkward for me to read. She also is brutally, at times painfully honest as she describes her past behaviors and situations. The result forces to you to take a good hard look at your own behavior, and inspires positive change no matter how frequently you yell at your children.
The book is set up into a 30 day guide for parents with short daily chapters to read, reflect and even journal about (see a peek inside below). It is part workbook to recognize and combat a negative behaviors, and the book is packed with tools, tips and motivational quotes. If you don't want to read the book over 30 days it's easy to hop around and look at issues that affect you most. 
I found some useful suggestions, and you might too. For example McCraith suggests we look to our "triggers" that result in stress and frequent yelling. In McCraith's case mornings were particularly challenging as she struggled to get 4 kids off for school. By realizing this was a hot area, she was able to identify solutions to help mornings flow better, and put visual cues (orange notes) on the kid's backpacks to remind her to keep calm.
