New River Valley Pediatrics

60 years of Making your Family a Part of our Family

July 10, 2014

New River Valley Pediatrics has been serving the New River Valley for over 60 years.  During that time we have added and changed offices and providers, but our goal of providing children in the New River Valley with superb medical care has remained the same.  Our founding pediatrician, Dr. Glenn Hall, no longer sees patients in the office but he comes in each morning to bring the mail and “check up on us”.

We want to be a medical home for our patients (your child).  We feel it is important for all children to get consistent care with the same provider or providers so that we can know your child’s history and family history.  We want to provide that care from birth through college, including sports physicals and camp physicals as they grow up.  It is important to get yearly physicals for elementary children and teens so that immunizations and history can be updated as needed.  Having that consistency allows our physicians to recognize physical or developmental concerns or changes so that interventions can be made promptly.  Our website, www.nrvpediatrics.com, has more information about routine medical care and recommended immunizations.

We are available for same day appointments for children when they are sick.  Call us first!  We have extended hours for sick appointments Monday through Friday in both the Blacksburg and Carilion NRV Medical Center locations, as well as, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon hours.  See our website, www.nrvpediatrics.com, for details about hours.

We at New River Valley Pediatrics want to be partners with you to keep your child healthy and happy.

Editor's Note: New River Pediatrics is a sponsor of NRV Macaroni Kid.  This is also where I take my children. They made it easy to transfer over my children's records before we even moved to  the New River Valley 4 years ago, and we have had nothing but postive expereinces.
