Around The Valley by Jennifer Chasse

August 18, 2016
Hello neighbors! Are you settling into a routine? That's top in mind as we work to find a schedule that accommodates everyone's activities and still allows us to share dinner or breakfast together most days. I'm trying out a dry erase board to act as a central schedule, but find it's not going exactly as planned. My daughter embraced it, but rather than fill in her activities, she wrote in interesting but less helpful dates such as " National S'mores Day" and "Full Moon".  The rest of the family is still ignoring it, and I'd love to hear what works in your house to manage it all in the comments below.

We've also been adjusting to a new pet- a kitten named Tucker from a rescue. He's the sweetest little guy, but we are working at establishing boundaries such as not digging up and pooping in my house plants, and not attacking feet of sleeping victims.

There are some great special events this weekend, including a Pokémon Go event at the Children's Museum, the Eastmont Tomato Festival, The Floyd Auto Show, and Pink In The Park for the Pulaski Yankees.  Why not try something new? Thanks for reading and see you around the valley!
