Are you hosting an outdoor event and want a fun addition that will appeal to all ages? I have an usual suggestion for you!
I’m blessed with a number of friends who are great bakers, and recently hosted a Pie Bake-Off Party. It was a good excuse to get everyone together, and frankly a genius way to surround myself with homemade pies without baking a thing! The result was 16 delicious entries at a laid-back lawn party with guests of all ages. We chose 5 guests to act as pie judges, and rounded out the event with a BBQ and some fun props. There were fruit pies, cream pies, and even spinach pies! 
I always like to put things out for children when I entertain, and this party was no different. I had some lawn toys available, but what really got everyone laughing was the Pie Face game. This hilarious game by Hasbro is a game of chance, as players spin and dial a handle the designated number of clicks, which may randomly result in a pie in the face! The “pie” is actually delicious whip cream. so we found some guests hoping to get hit by the pie! We had the game available to play at the party, and another one to offer as first prize for the best pie.
I will definitely be bringing this game out for my next outdoor event!
So what pies won? They were all a hit and resulted in a delicious taste taste for all, but the top scores came in for cherry, sweet potato and coconut cream pies. And, I think it's safe to say a “people’s choice” was awarded for the Pie Face Game! Keep it in mind for your next outdoor event.
