Too many children miss out on building literacy skills in the crucial developmental years before kindergarten simply because they do not have books in the home.
Please join Smart Beginnings NRV and the VT Engage AmeriCorps Network in helping to supply our community’s families with free books! Donations will be used to fill area Little Libraries built by AmeriCorps members and community partners. Any that are not used for Little Libraries will be distributed to Smart Beginnings NRV partner childcare centers.
Donate new or gently used children’s and teen books to Smart Beginnings NRV at 201 W Roanoke Street in Blacksburg. If traveling to Blacksburg is a burden, please contact AmeriCorps member Jon Dworin at jdworin@vt.edu for other box locations and with any questions.
