YMCA Christmas Village 2015 is a very exciting event that will be a friendly gesture to families in the area. It will also bring many people into the Y Center and encourage the purchasing of sustainable items for Christmas gifts and decorations. It will be a lively occasion featuring the talents of many.
  • Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus: take your own picture for free. Children will get to sit between the Clauses for the picture taking. Bring your camera or phone.
  • Sticky notes to Santa. These sticky notes will be written and placed on the wall in the hallway as children are waiting to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus. Also, they will be listening to musicians and other lively Christmas Music.
  • The O’Dowd Brothers will be playing music on Saturday afternoon.
  • Christmas Shop: Elf Emporium is for children to buy dollar or cheaper gifts for Mom and Dad or family, simple wrapping will be available. All items will be 1.00 or .50. Elves will be local university students.
This will be open on Saturday, December 5 from 10-2:00. Apples, Brownies, Christmas Cookies, and Kettle Corn will be  for sale from Hethwood Market.
We encourage all families to visit the Thrift Store and purchase sustainable holiday items and toys for Christmas from the YMCA Thrift Store. Sales of items help Virginia Tech Y Student Programs.
