Around the Valley by Jennifer Chasse

October 1, 2015
Hello neighbors! That cold rainy weekend sure put a damper on local fall activities with some cancellations and low turnout at local events.  The Virginia Science Museum did well, since it was mainly housed indoors, and we enjoyed some hands-on science fun. That seemed to inspire some creativity, and the Noodle came home and build a maze for her Guinea Pig, while The Boy and a friend started some paper mache projects that have continued all week. I love hands on creativity!

October is filled with local events to enjoy, and we have some great giveaways lined up including tickets to Sesame Street Live, Wild Kratts Live, and a copy of new favorite new cookbook- the Family Calendar Cookbook. Be sure to be following our enewsletters and Facebook page for chances to win, and this week, enter to WIN some tickets to enjoy the seriously scary Haunted Graham Mansion tickets- perfect for brave teens and parents!

I'm headed to sunny Ft. Lauderdale with  more than 100 Macaroni Kid Publishers for some professional development and fun. For the first time ever families are invited, and I'm looking forward to my macaroni kids meeting other macaroni kids! Follow along with us on Twitter and Instagram, and I'm sure to bring back some fun goodies to giveaway to some followers! #MKMeetUp #HelloSunny .
