The Department of Entomology at Virginia Tech is hosting its 2nd annual bug camp on July 21! The program will cover basic insect identification – followed by a “build your own collection” session – that teaches insect collecting and pinning. A special session on an insect-related field will be offered as well as a peek at some of our favorite creepy-crawlies from the bug zoo! Come join us and learn about the exciting aspects of entomology. Open to all youth ages 9-13 and held at Virginia Tech Department of Entomology, Price Hall (Blacksburg), room 220. The cost is $40 which covers lunch, refreshments, an official BugCamp T-shirt, and insect collection supplies. Make checks payable to the Alwood Society.
