Registration Open for Hokie Bug Camp for ages 9-13

The Department of Entomology at Virginia Tech is hosting its 2nd annual bug camp on July 21! The program will cover basic insect identification – followed by a “build your own collection” session – that teaches insect collecting and pinning. A special session on an insect-related field will be offered as well as a peek at some of our favorite creepy-crawlies from the bug zoo! Come join us and learn about the exciting aspects of entomology.  Open to all  youth ages 9-13 and held at Virginia Tech Department of Entomology, Price Hall (Blacksburg), room 220. Drop-off and pickup is in the Price Hall parking lot. Campus map 

To register, bring check and completed health history form to the Montgomery County Extension office at 755 Roanoke St. in Christiansburg. Download the health history form here or call (540) 382-5790 to receive a mailed copy of the health form.

The cost is $40  which covers lunch, refreshments, an official BugCamp T-shirt, and insect collection supplies. Make checks payable to the Alwood Society.
