Around the Valley

by Jennifer Chasse

Hey neighbors! I hope you enjoyed a long weekend. There was so much to do and how about that weather? I had fun making hats at First and Main's Easter activities, and thanks to all the volunteers and attendees who made it a success.

Confession time: last week while editing the Blue Man Groupticket giveaway I inadvertently deleted the contest (doh!), and the only fair option is to offer it again.  So be sure to enter to win one of two pairs of tickets. We also have another pass for two to attend the VA Fly Fishing Festival so that is 3 great outings to win this week! Get up and out folks!

Have you taken a look at the Biz Directory lately?  You'll find listings with links to make it easy for you to support local business. Last week sadly I learned of two local businesses closing doors. If you're not sure where to start, consider supporting the 3/50 project. Together we make a difference in our local economy.

In this e-newsletter you'll find updates in the Macaroni Kid Camp Guide as well as and  a warm welcome to our new sponsor Little Angels Preschool. They offer parents morning out program and are hosting an open house April 29.

Last month moved too fast, but Jill's Pie of the Month club featured a delectable way to use Girl Scout thin mint cookies. I plan to make it this week.  If you enjoy reading NRVMK, please forward this along to a friend and ask them to subscribe.
